Customer Reviews
Customer rating is 5 of 5  Great Product   2010-07-25

This is probably the best manual wine opener I have used. I have recommended it to family, friends and many waiters.
Customer rating is 4 of 5  Great little product   2010-07-14

Have had it for a few weeks, it's pretty solid. Hasn't broken and hasn't rusted. I recommend it highly for not only the quality but also the price!
Customer rating is 5 of 5  Simplest and Best Corkscrew   2010-04-14
By Joeomar (Omaha, NE USA)
There are so many bizarre corkscrews on the market, some costing $50 or more. Somehow I got ahold of one of these simple little sommelier corkscrews and it works like a dream, FAR better than ANY of the weird expensive ones. Unfold the auger and lever, screw it in, and leverage the cork out in two stages. It requires no physical strength at all, I've removed some of the TOUGHEST corks with ease. Why the heck would anyone ever buy one of those expensive corkscrews when one of these inexpensive ones actually work much better?
Customer rating is 5 of 5  The best wine opener   2010-04-06
By Bradley Tonnesen (Arlington, VA United States)
I have opened my share of wine bottles, and used all sorts of wine openers--this is my favorite. The dual-hinge is a must-have, and the blade actually cuts through the foil on the bottle. This opener is everything i want in an opener--and quite affordable!
Customer rating is 3 of 5  Works fine, but not as solid as I'd hoped   2010-03-23
By Mike D (San Francisco, CA)
My friend has a sturdy metal Pulltap corkscrew whose double-jointed perfection was so satisfying to use that I just had to get one for myself. So I ordered one of these. I was disappointed to find, once it arrived, that it was narrower than my friend's model, both the handle and the screw, and somewhat less solid feeling. In fact, after a few uses the little plastic insert in the handle came unglued. All things considered it's still a good little tool, especially for the price, far and away better than the other less-than-useful corkscrews lying around the kitchen, but it did not live up to my expectations. I'll wait until I see one in a brick and mortar store before I buy another. (And one of these days I'll get around to gluing that piece of plastic back in place.)
