Nice item 2010-03-02 |
| By A. Schwartz (Portland, OR) |
| Simple wine opener that was bought as a gift. I used it several times and it seems nice and very straight forward. The chiller was a great plus but basically a cup that you put in the freezer. I would buy another (for myself) but I would rather spend the money on the wine. |
Unbeatable price, and performance 2010-02-26 |
| By Y. Su (Los Angeles, CA USA) |
| Used it and was solid. Compared to $120 sold in stores, this was a way better deal. Wine cooler is just a simple metal container and in my opinion is not really needed. You could go with Oster 4207 for 17.99 only to save some money. But the wine opener itself works perfectly assuming you only drill 1-2 times into the cork then pull it out. If you drill 3+ times repeatedly into the cork, then the cork will break as you try to pull it out; at this point, you risk of having small wood pieces falling into your wine...just drill once in, pull it out, and release the cork. |
Great Wine Opener 2010-02-22 |

| This is a great wine opening. I purchased one several months ago at a local Costco and loved it |
It works but it's really rather silly 2010-02-22 |
| By Joe Blakely (Oakland, CA USA) |
Ask yourself, as I should have, "Do I really need this?". I suppose if you have serious arthritis or hand disability. Otherwise, the trusty old fingerloop corkscrew is quicker, just as easy and takes up no counter space.

doesn't work on all corks 2010-02-22 |
| By G. Keida (OAKLAND, CA, US) |
This doesn't work on some corks- on others it works fine. So you need to have a bakc up in case your bottle of wine isn't compatible. That should be in the item description instead of just in the fine print in the directions in the box... I'm dissappointed.
When it does work, its pretty neat I guess, not as fast as a rabbit type opener though... its plastic another gadget you don't really need. |
