This is our third machine and the only negative on it is they don't last long. We usually buy a backup machine when the price is right. If you don't like burnt meat, this is for you. Cooks without blackening meat.

The snap off plates are great. It has variable temp controls, not just on and off. The slide-out grease tray is fantastic, no more cups sitting around on the counter. The adjustable top fit perfect over sandwiches for toasting. Will use this in the camper rather than firing up the stove. It's like an itty-bitty stove/oven. Very satisfied.

Grill is sturdy and good quality. The draining of cooking moisture is to the rear, and you have to make sure the grill is level or slightly tipped back. If your counter is properly flat should be no problem. Cooks well, and the open flat double surface is nice.

Was happy with the griddle till the top plate would not stay on. Made an easy exchange with Amazon and hope the new griddler will work better.
