| Wouldn't this do a excellent gift for a student, or a commuter? The machine brews right into the thermal journey mug and then shuts itself off, so your favorite coffee lover can just grab and go! |
| Excellent for commuters, office professionals, and one-coffee-drinker households, this personal coffeemaker brews 15 ounces of coffee directly into a stainless-steel journey mug. The mug has a rubber handle for a safe grip and a lid to keep coffee hot. It's tapered to a 2-1/2-inch-diameter bottom, so it fits much vehicle cup holders. The coffeemaker itself is intended for an on-the-go coffee drinker. It has a permanent filter--no messy disposable paper filters necessary--and shuts off automatically afterwards brewing. The mug, filter, filter basket, and mug lid are dishwasher-safe, and the coffeemaker can in addition be used to heat water for tea, hot chocolate, and instantaneous foods like oatmeal and soup. Made of gleaming black plastic, it measures 9-3/4 inches high, 7 inches wide, and 6 inches deep, and carries a one-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack |

Nice little coffee maker 2010-03-13 |
| By Linda (Illinois) |
| If you like a fast and fresh cup of coffee then this coffee maker delivers both. It took me awhile to figure out the formula which best suits me. I don't use the filter supplied with the maker and I use regular 4 cup filters which results in a great Dunkin Donut cup of coffee. Just don't turn your back or get sidetracked or your coffee will be done and by the time you realize you started it, it will be cold. I love it! |
Brew 'n Go Personal Coffee Maker Review 2010-03-13 |
| By K. Hess (Ohio USA) |
| I got one for hubby's desk at work and one for home use. We absolutely love it. Plan to take it on vacations and such due to it's size and the coffee is always good. We use the 1-4 cup pot paper filters due to the one that comes with it is messy to clean out and time consuming but for how we use it we'd rate it a 5 star. We make coffee in it nearly every day I have also made hot chocolate and tea in it as well. Very good for the price! |
very useful coffeemaker 2010-03-10 |
| By Blackbird (Davis, CA USA) |
| I've had this coffeemaker for about 3 weeks. It brews a good cup of coffee in a minimum of time, is easy to use and to clean, and is perfect for one person in either a home or an office setting. The unit does make a fair amount of noise, so may not be suitable for some applications, but if you're looking for an inexpensive coffeemaker for one person, this may be it. Permanent filter and stainless steel mug with plastic interior. |

Not great 2010-03-10 |
| By C. Walker (Belchertown, MA) |
| It's not as good as the old one! I had an earlier version of this unit which was great. I used it almost every weekday for nine years, and it worked perfectly until the end. This new one is almost as unreliable as the old one that I had to replace when it became, well, unreliable. The unit is made for 12 ounces, but a) it doesn't pump out all of the water, and b) if you put enough coffee in for a 12 ounce cup the grounds spill out into the reservoir and splash up on the inside of the cover. Summary: the earlier version made a perfect 10 ounce cup of coffee EVERY time until it wore out. This model is iffy - when it works right it makes a good 10 ounce cup of coffee, but it's not good for a bigger cup, and even the 10 ounce cup is unreliable. Interestingly, the unit that I bought in 2001 cost about $20 as did this 2010 unit! |
